The changes that the Gmail app is bringing

The Gmail app is bringing a huge change for iPhone and Android users. With this change, Google Chat app integration can be turned on in the Gmail app, mail, meet and rooms can be used.

This chat messaging app could be used by users in the Google workspace. But from now on these can be used in personal accounts.

The changes that the Gmail app is bringing

The Gmail app will now have four tabs on iPhone and Android. These are Gmail, Chat, Meet, and Rooms.

To enable this chat function in the Gmail app on your iPhone or Android phone, you must first check to see if there is an updated version of the Gmail app.

If not, you need to download the updated version from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Now open the Gmail app and tap on the sandwich menu at the top left of the screen. Now some options will come.

Scroll down to Settings. From here, select Personal Google Account. Now you need to enable “Chat (early access)> toggle. The new version of the Gmail app will have four tabs, along with a new style chatbox.

Gadget experts believe that the chat and meet options of workspace accounts will become competitors for video meetings and instant messaging platforms such as Microsoft Team, Zoom, and Slacker.

Personal Gmail accounts are also expected to compete with WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal.

In addition, media and photos can be shared in the Google chat interface, you will have access to Google Drive for file sharing, you just need to switch to Google Meet directly for video chat. From now on, users will not have to switch to different apps for Gmail, Chat, Meet, and Room.
